Who are we?
At Twin State, our mission is simple: help small businesses in the Carolinas compete online with the same confidence and clarity as the big players. We believe every business no matter its size deserves the tools, visibility, and support to grow.
The name Twin State was born from history. Long ago, North and South Carolina were known as The Carolinas, one united territory. For me, the name represents more than history it’s about balance, partnership, and growth. It’s about serving both Carolinas as one, and helping every small business rise together.
This is personal. My father started a small pool business when I was a kid, and he continues to operate it with the same passion today, and I saw firsthand the challenges of competing with big companies. My family worked across multiple industries like landscaping, carpentry, farming, electrical you name it. I saw the grind, the long hours, and the unfair fight against bigger budgets.
That stuck with me.
I’ve loved computers since my mom brought home our first Compaq Presario with dial-up internet. While others saw a screen, I saw possibility. And as digital marketing grew, I realized small business owners were being left behind confused by algorithms, trapped by expensive agencies, and left to figure it all out alone.
That’s when it hit me: I need to do this myself and build something better.
I realized small businesses don’t need another marketer who talks in jargon or overpromises results. They need a growth partner who is transparent, fair, and invested in their success.
